The Student Solutions therapists and vendors, along with members expo allowed participants to gain exposure to the fairly new field of assistive medical devices. The program continues to raise awareness about Assistive Technology (AT) and provides valuable experience to students collaborating with AT users to solve problems and create solutions to everyday challenges faced by people with disabilities.
BC Rehab has partnered up with Union Gospel Mission and Wheelin’ Mobility to present a mobile wheelchair and equipment repair service in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside (DTES) and the feedback has been amazing.

BC Rehab is pleased to announce that two groups of rehabilitation practitioners and researchers have received the 2011 BC Rehab Research Awards. The purpose of this competition is to offer rehabilitation professionals the opportunity to undertake clinical research in their field of interest or expertise that ultimately helps people living with physical disabilities.
